What InflowSheet is
InflowSheet is engagement management software for CPA firms that do tax, audit and consulting (advisory) work. Each client engagement has one workspace per period. That workspace holds the engagement letter, the request list the client answers, the tax return and its e-file authorization, and, for financial work, the trial balance, evidence and audit binder.
Who it serves
InflowSheet is built for firm partners, tax and audit managers, staff and operations leads. Staff roles are Tax, Audit and Consulting, alongside Admin and Client roles. The navigation adapts to each user’s role and to the engagement type. A tax preparer sees Tax Returns, K-1s and 1099 Season; an auditor sees Financials, Evidence, Audit Program and Binder. Clients get their own view of the documents they still owe and what is waiting for their signature.
How it differs from a generic document portal
A document portal stops at the upload. InflowSheet continues from there:
- A completeness agent checks each received document against the request (wrong type, wrong year, wrong entity), and a person validates it. The agent only recommends.
- For missing documents, follow-ups are drafted for a person to approve. By default nothing goes to the client without approval. Firms can opt in to autonomous sending for routine items only, with a 15-minute hold.
- Validated source documents roll up into return-relevant figures in the Source Organizer.
- The same engagement carries the trial balance, account mapping, variance analysis, tie-outs and lead schedules, plus evidence, the firm’s own audit program and the binder.
- Signatures happen inside the engagement through DocuSign. Engagement letters are signed by the partner first, then the client. Tax returns are signed by the client first, then the ERO.
How it uses Microsoft 365
Users sign in with Microsoft, after a Microsoft 365 Global Admin grants consent once. According to InflowSheet’s Security page, sign-in uses Entra ID with the firm’s SSO, MFA and Conditional Access policies, and InflowSheet’s Microsoft permissions are admin-consented and revocable. Documents can live in the firm’s own SharePoint, in per-engagement and per-request folders. InflowSheet works with the Teams channels the firm creates or links. InflowSheet processes and stores engagement data in its Microsoft Azure environment in the US East region. Details are on the Microsoft 365 page and the Security page.
Pricing
InflowSheet costs $10 per user per month. There are no modules and no add-ons; every user gets the whole platform. See pricing.
What it does not do
InflowSheet does not e-file tax returns; filing 1099s with the IRS is a manual upload by a person, outside the app. It does not integrate with tax preparation software, does not include billing, invoicing or time tracking, and has no risk-assessment or financial-statements module. InflowSheet does not hold a SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certification, and says so on its Security page. AI-assisted output requires professional review and is not accounting, audit or tax advice.
